Kodachrome was my favorite color film. If you held steady and exposed right - plus/minus 1/3 stop - it was very sharp and had great skin tones; it remains stable to this day in my archives. The rumor was that in 2008 Kodak was making a single sheet a mile long which was cut into 20,000 rolls.

I am in my editing room in our house in Evanston, Illinois, rejects are on the floor and eventually put into that basket which I emptied two or three times a year. The "selects" and "primes" stayed on the light box and were edited into the sleeves sent to clients, who thankfully never saw my mistakes.

On the floor there are boxes and bags of processed film, waiting its chance to get up there into primetime. I am barefoot and in shorts, and a small Braun fan is plugged in so it is a warm evening up there on the third floor, probably around 9:30, there are hours to go and a good possibility I will find some "keepers" before I go to bed.
