I was in Los Angeles on another assignment for People Magazine when the Photo Editor John Loengard, called and said, "Michael, We already have photographed a story on Cybil and Peter, but they refuse to let that photographer back on the premises. While you're out there could you go by their house Sunday afternoon and get a cover shot?"

I didn't have any lights with me, but used the sun bouncing off the white stucco wall of their garage to get this soft warm light in their faces. Cybil did the rest. The magazine used a different photo on the cover, but I didn't mind. After all, a cover is a cover, and a good shot is a good shot.
