Opening Night at The Opry

The Grand Ole Opry had just moved from its longtime home at The Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville to its new home at the Opryland Theme Park. It didn't seem to matter to country music stars Minnie Pearl and Hank Snow as they posed for this picture at the back of the stage.

New digs...distracting photographers...no problem. The show must go on. In fact the show was on the air as I made this shot for PEOPLE MAGAZINE.
